Patsy Ruth Thornton

Patsy Ruth Thornton (Granny), 77, of Shepherd, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. She was born on Wednesday, September 16, 1936 in Shepherd, Texas to Thomas and Alice (McGee) Hues, both of whom have preceded her in death. Patsy was also preceded in death by her husband's James Stark Martin and Elton Thornton; sisters, Bonnie True and Vera Humbird, Eldon(Punk) Hues; granddaughters; Chrissy Wilson and Kendal Martin; Left to cherish her memory is her children, James Earl Martin and wife Natalie, Tammy Jordan and husband Clyde, DeeAnn Palmer and husband Bill; brother, Thomas Hues and wife Debbie; sisters, Betty Thornton and husband William, Erma Chreene and husband Murray; grandchildren; Casey Martin and wife Angi, Wrangler Martin, Lacy Martin, Ty Martin, Brian Jordan, Melissa Hopson and husband Josh, Daniel Jordan, Jerrice Rodriguez and husband David, Jawanna Sanderson, CJ Wilson, LeAnna Hendricks, Billy Palmer, George Palmer and Annie Palmer; great-grandchildren, Haydin, Frank, Kellee, Adley, Haliegh, Xander and Saphira, Dakota, Levi, Alexis, Carly, Kirsten; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Pastor Charlie Lackie and Clyde Jordan officiating. Visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Skains Cemetery at 4:30 pm in Trinity, Texas. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
