Betty Walker Smith

Betty Pearl Smith, 83, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. She was born on Thursday, November 9, 1933, in Fostoria, Texas, to Edward Marshall Walker and Cennie P. (Yeager) Walker, both of whom have preceded her in death. Betty was also preceded in death by her son, Raymond Dowden; brothers, Curtis Walker, Lee Edward Walker, and William Earl Walker; sisters, Jewell Evada Walker and Lillie P. Copley. Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Lana Letien and husband Clifford; son, Marshall A. Dowden and wife Debbie; daughter-in-law, Betty Dowden; grandchildren, Roger Dowden, Rhonda Dowden, Raymond Dowden, Jr., Kim Barnes and Kevin Letien; great-grandchildren, Jakob Matthew Barnes, Brandon, Katlyn, Kelsie, Josh, Matthew and Samantha, Kayla Letien and Nathan Letien; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley, Bentley, Stetson; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Funeral services for Betty will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 2:00 pm. Interment for Betty will immediately follow at Morgan Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Matthews, and Sister Sue Matthews officiating.
