Billy Jack Dove

Billy Jack "BJ" Dove, 87, went to be with our Lord Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Cleveland, TX. He was born on Sunday, May 16, 1926 in Port Arthur, TX to Charles Webster and Lillie Lorena (Austin) Dove, both of whom have preceded him in death. Billy was also preceded in death by his, daughter Lynn Dove Crowell; brothers, James, Harry, C.W., John and Robert Dove; sisters, Rhoda Dove Scott and Alma Dove Elliot and previous wife of 56 years Bertha. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 10 years Virginia (Jenny) Hamblen- Dove. Billy Jack and Bertha had three children, left to honor his memory are Ronald Wayne Dove, Sandra Dove Lenins Cassell, and Wendy Dove Fischer, (his granddaughter whom he raised as his own). Billy Jack is also survived by his two step-daughters Shelley Hamblen Musgrave, and Becky Hamblen Drapak. BJ had three precious grandchildren and fifteen wonderful great-grandchildren. He was a WWII veteran a Corporal in the United States Army Air Corp. BJ retired after thirty successful years at AT&T, then transfered to University of North Carolina, Greensboro as the Director of Telephone service for the next ten years. BJ was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cleveland, TX. He will be missed by numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery. Officiating Reverend Bobbie Maltas. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
