Bonnell Hayden, 72, of Splendora, Texas, succumbed to his courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Splendora, Texas. His love for his wife and family went above and beyond what most would expect. Success was achieved through hard work and never came easy. He loved hunting, barbecuing and football, but most of all spending time surrounded by the family that truly loved him for being him. He was born on Wednesday, August 12, 1942 in Cleveland, Texas to Everett Eugene Hayden and Vera Mae (Cummings) Hayden, both of whom have preceded him in death. Bonnell was also preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Baldwin; brothers, Charles Hayden, Lenon Hayden, and James Hayden; Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 32 years, Carolyn Sue Hayden; children, Tracy Weakley and husband Clinton, Jana Stucky and husband Richard, James Bonnell Hayden and wife Casey, Michael Bonnell Hayden and wife Adrianne, Sandra Lewis and husband Gary Johnson; sister, Vera Jean Tolbert; sister in law, Jerry Sue Hayden; Grandchildren, Lindsay, Chase, Connor, Payton, Cash, Parker, Susan, Brandi, Briana and Sara; Great-Grandchildren, Lane, Colt and Blake; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Bonnell will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:00 am. Interment for Bonnell will immediately follow at Splendora Cemetery, Brian Lee officiating. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
