Brett Hodges, a son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on January 15, 2025, in Cleveland, Texas. Born on November 13, 1957, in Houston, Texas, Brett's journey through life was marked by a warm spirit and an unwavering love for the simple pleasures of the world around him.

Brett was a man who effortlessly welled up affection in those privileged enough to know him. His magnetic personality made him beloved by all who crossed his path. He had a profound appreciation for the great outdoors, which he relished through activities such as fishing and spending time surrounded by flowers. A notable habit of his was sitting in his truck with a cup of coffee, enjoying the beauty of nature while observing the world, which reflected his contemplative yet carefree nature.

Relationships were essential to Brett, and he embraced those around him with open arms and kind words. He uniquely referred to women with endearing terms, such as "baby" or "sweetheart," encapsulating his gentle and amiable character. His presence was a source of joy, leaving indelible memories in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is survived by his three loving sons, Brett "The Tank" Hodges Jr., Derek "Baby Boy" Hodges, and Bradly "Big Boy" Hodges; his sister, Andrea Hodges; as well as his best and loyal friend, Linda Richardson, and her husband, Charles. Additionally, Brett leaves behind many loving friends who will miss him forever.

Brett is preceded in death by his parents, CJ Hodges and June Fields, along with his brother, Dwight Hodges. While they are no longer with us, his memory will forever shine bright in the lives he touched so deeply. In this time of loss, we celebrate Brett's life and the warmth he brought to us all.
