Bruce Leonard Winkle

Bruce Leonard Winkle, 60, of Shepherd, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Cleveland, Texas. He was born on Tuesday, March 24, 1953 in Hereford, Texas to James Burgess Winkle and Ruth (Talley) Winkle, both of whom have preceded him in death. Bruce was also preceded in death by his, sister, Dora Lois Miller; brother, James Don Winkle, former spouse of 21 years, Diane Gail Winkle and longtime friend, David Merrit; Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 21 years Cathy Sue Winkle; children, Johnny Winkle and wife Sharon of Cleveland, Texas, James Winkle of Utah, Bruce Winkle Jr. and wife Amber of Leggett, Texas, Kay Marcontell and husband Billy of Thicket, Texas, Bill Fulkerson and wife Angela of Lakeland, Florida, Ricky Gene Flournoy and wife Alana of Coldspring, Texas, and Shawn Gustafson and wife Lisa of Shepherd, Texas; brother, Donald Joe Talley and wife Caroline of Antlers, Oklahoma; sisters, Terry Morgan and husband Frank of Leggett, Texas, Betty Jo Hill and husband Jimmy of Deer Park, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; special niece, Christy Windt; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and treasured friends. Bruce has been a long time resident and business owner in Cleveland for numerous years; he started a small fruit stand and grew it to a successful resale shop for 29 years. Bruce was loved by all that knew him, he will be truly missed. Visitation for Bruce will be held at Neal Funeral Home on December 19, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. Interment for Bruce will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Officiating, Pastor Carl Williamson. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
