Buford E. Mizell

Buford E. Mizell, 79, of Tarkington, Texas passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was born on Sunday, September 2, 1934 in Tarkington, Texas to Stanley Sylvester Mizell and Clara Mae (Purswell) Mizell, both of whom have preceded him in death. Buford was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Patricia Ann Mizell and brother, James Leon Mizell; Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Lyndal Mizell; children, Dennis Mizell and wife Judy, Sheila Godfrey and husband Mike; brother, Thomas Allen Mizell and wife Mary; sister, Wanda Evelyn Lewing and husband Roy Allen; grandchildren, Chad Mizell and wife Heather, Cody Mizell, Taylor Beaudoin and husband Chad, Cara Renea Manahan and husband Garrett and Reed Godfrey; great-grandchildren, Kinsey Mizell, Maverick Mizell, Miles Manahan, Ava Beaudoin and Cullin Beaudoin; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Buford will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services for Buford will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment for Buford will immediately follow at Boothe Cemetery. Pastor John McGuire, officiating. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Ronald McDonald House or The American Cancer Society in Buford's name. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
