Charles Douglas Miller, 69, of Cleveland, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2016. Charles was born on January 16, 1947 in Monroe, La. to Virgil Douglas Miller and Vestal Valley (Knight) Miller, both of whom have preceded him in death.
Charles' passion was flying; he loved to go out to the Jetero RC Club with his grandson. He also loved his old cars, loved to ride his motorcycles and loved to fish. He enjoyed being on the water. Charles worked at the Houston Chronicle for 40 years; before retiring he was the Newsprint Warehouse Manager.
Charles served our country from 1966 to 1972 drafted by the US Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Susan Miller; children, Tina Suzanne White, Michael Douglas Miller and wife Bernadette; brother, Tommy Miller and wife Peggy; sisters, Susan Dupre' and husband Dan and Mary Louise Witt and husband Bob; grandchildren, Tiffany and Austin, Allie, Sam, and Vanessa; many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Charles will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, July 08, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, July 09, 2016 at 11:00 am. Charles will be interned at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
