Daniel Conejo Gonzalez, a vibrant soul whose laughter could light up any room, left us too soon on September 7, 2024, at the tender age of 20. Born on July 21, 2004, in Houston, TX, Daniel was a cherished son and brother, whose love for his family ran deep.
He is survived by his father, Daniel Conejo Gonzalez, and his mother, Leticia Castaneda, along with his mom, Perla Parra Millan. Daniel took great joy in the company of his siblings: Angelina Marie Gonzalez, Karla Maria Gonzalez, Perla Abbilene Gonzalez, Isabella Daniela Gonzalez, Elizabeth Castaneda, Jasmine Castaneda, Melody Castaneda, and Alejandro Lordedo. His bond with his beloved sister, Angelina, was particularly special, embodying a connection filled with love, support, and countless shared moments.
Daniel was embraced by a wider family that included his grandfather, Clemente Gonzalez Jasso, aunts Aracely Gonzalez Conejo, Rosalba Gonzalez Conejo, Ma. Ludivina Gonzalez Conejo, Angie Zuniga, and Lilia Marquez, as well as uncles Manuel Gonzalez Conejo, Orlando Castaneda, and Miguel Castaneda. These family ties provided a foundation of love and encouragement throughout his life.
Daniel loved to play video games and was known for his playful spirit and his witty humor. He learned to drive at a young age, fascinated by the mechanics of machines, particularly tractors and heavy equipment. It was his dream to become a welder, and with every step he took toward that dream, he showcased a determination that inspired everyone around him. Recently, he began to explore the art of cooking with his loving father, driven by his very large appetite and an innate joy that radiated after every meal. His faith played a pivotal role in his life; Daniel was a faithful servant to the Lord, instilling hope and kindness in all those he encountered.
In addition to his remarkable qualities, Daniel's warmth and kindness were reflected in his enjoyment of simple moments with family and friends, which made his time with them all the more precious. The world is a duller place without his infectious laughter and loving spirit, but his memory will continue to flourish in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Daniel is preceded in death by his great-grandmother Rosaline Castaneda, his paternal grandmother Ma. Angelina Conejo Hernandez, his aunts Caroline Arroyo and Darlene Castaneda, and his cousin Brenda Montserrat Gonzalez Guapo. Their spirits will surely welcome him home, creating a heavenly reunion filled with love and laughter once more.
Though his time with us was brief, the legacy of Daniel Conejo Gonzalez will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
