Dewayne D. Harris

Dewayne D. Harris, 71, of Splendora, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Conroe, Texas. He was born on Wednesday, July 19, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Joseph Alexander Harris Jr. and Madeline Martin-Getro Harris, both of whom have preceded him in death. Dewayne was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 29 years, Billie Harris, son, Joseph Dewayne Harris, brothers, Wayne Harris, Ryan Harris, Brian Harris, Jack Harris, David Harris. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Rachel Fillpot and husband Dan; mother of his child, Johanna Jones; step sons, Bennie Barrow and wife Lou Ann, Allen Barrow and fiance Ludivina Rodrigues; step daughter, Teresa Jones and husband Mark; Grandchildren, Joseph Fillpot, Kerstin Fillpot, Charles Barrow, Wesley Hicks, Jeremy Bratton and wife Sonja, Stephanie Garcia and husband Cannan, Montanna Jones; Courtney Jones Watz and husband Clayton, Great-grandchildren Tanner Hicks Barrow, Octavian Barrow Garcia, Madison, Ethan, and Peyton Bratton; and Brandon Barrow-Young; Nieces and Nephews, Jody Harris, Michael Harris, Steve Harris, Debbie Harris Dimmena, Tammy Harris Clark, Brent Harris & Siblings; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Dewayne dedicated 21 years of service to law enforcement including Brazoria County Sheriff Department, Manville Police Department, Jacinto City Police Department, Brazoria Police Department, City of Houstona�"Airport Police Division, and 6 years with Splendora Police Department during 3 of those years he served as a Chief. The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on Monday November 23, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services for Dewayne will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Sherri Williams Officiating
