Douglass Woolfolk, 98, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. She was born on Sunday, August 11, 1918, in Coldspring, Texas, to Willie Perry and Edna Rebecca (Williams) Perry, both of whom have preceded her in death. Douglass was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George Woolfolk; son, George Ruble Woolfolk, Jr.; brothers, Dr. Ervin Perry, Colonial Mervin Perry, Lester Perry, Chester Perry; sister, Dolphus Collier. Left to cherish her memory is her loving sisters, Altha Davidson; Willie Jean Birmingham; sister-in-laws, Marion Perry, Dr. Jean Perry; nephew, Gene Locke; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Douglass will be held at Mt. Corinth Baptist Church, Hempstead, Texas, on January 21, 2017, from 9:00 am. to 10:50 am. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Corinth Baptist Church, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 11:00 am. Interment for Douglass will immediately follow at Coldspring Community Cemetery.
