Gerald Tope,

Gerald Wayne Tope Sr., 69, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 in Splendora, Texas. Gerald was born Saturday, January 23, 1943, in Denison, Texas to Paul Henry and Aline Mae Tope, both of whom precede him in death. Gerald was also preceded in death by his brothers Jimmie Lee Tope, Paul Leon Tope, William Rayburn Tope and sister Loretta Anne Warren. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years Effie J Tope; sons Gerald Wayne Tope, Jr., David Wayne Tope; daughter Patricia Juanell Williams; sisters Betty Jean Nobles, Wanda Sue Medrano; grandchildren Matthew, Shane, Megan, Hailey, Dalton, Christopher, Brittany, Krystelle, and Patrick; great-grandchildren Blandon, Klayton, Mercedes, Raymond, Alexus, Nolan and Brooklyn. Visitation for Gerald will be held Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6 to 9 pm at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside service for Gerald will be held at Morgan Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10 am. Officiating is Brother Don Foster. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
