Glenn Farrell Powell

Glenn Farrell Powell, 85, passed away on January 2, 2025, in Willis, Texas. He was born on August 14, 1939, in Cuero, Texas, to Robert Truman Powell and Laura Teresa Parr Powell.

Glenn proudly served as a veteran of the United States Army, a commitment that remained a source of honor throughout his life. His military service instilled in him a sense of duty and dedication that he carried into all aspects of his endeavors. Notably, Glenn's intellect and passion for engineering led to one of his proudest accomplishments: securing a United States Military Patent. This achievement underscored not only his professional capabilities but also his contribution to the fields of engineering and technology.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Glenn found immense joy in spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Terry Lynn Box Shelton, and his granddaughters, Tiffanie Hughes and her husband Michael, as well as Jillian Temple Springfield and her husband Derek. Glenn’s legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Connor, Emma, Kaylee, Brynn, Coen, and Evie, who will remember him for the love he shared with them.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Laura; his daughter, Lynette Powell Temple; and his siblings. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his contributions to his country, and his significant accomplishments in engineering. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
