Gloria Ehmke

Gloria Ehmke, 68, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her home in Shepherd, Texas .

Gloria was born Wednesday, September 6, 1944, in Mathis, Texas to Isaac and Esther Lopez, both of whom precede her in death. Also preceding her in death is her loving son Isaac Walter Ehmke; mother and father in law August & Bertie Ehmke.

Mrs. Ehmke was a graduate of Sam Houston State University, where she earned her degree to be a medical doctor. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of Cleveland and an active member of the Golden Girls. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 25 years Clifford D. Ehmke; brother Isaac Lopez and wife Clara of Beeville, Texas; sister Delia Bardin and husband Don of Burnet, Texas; brother in laws Vance Ehmke and wife Louise of Dighton, Kansas, Forrest Ehmke and wife Cathy of Witchita, Kansas; nieces Angela Lopez and son Vincent, Melissa Lopez and daughter Marcela; nephews Kyle Bardin, Michael Lopez; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation for Gloria will be held Friday, November 9, 2012, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at Neal Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas, where she will be laid to rest next to her dear son Isaac. Food will be served at Cornerstone Church around 1:30 pm. Officiating is Brother Earl Faust. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
