Homer Lee Franklin

Homer Lee Franklin, 88, of Shepherd, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at his home in Shepherd. He was born on Saturday, April 9, 1927 in Cleveland, Texas to Ernest I Franklin and Ethel Gertrude Franklin, both of whom have preceded him in death. Homer was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Helen Franklin, brothers, Raymond Riley Franklin, Alfred David Franklin, Robert Earl Franklin, Bobby Harold Franklin, Charles Wayne Franklin, sisters, Betty Ruth Walling, Joyce Fay Digman. Left to cherish his memory is his sons, Larry W Franklin, Johnny Lee Franklin; sisters, Mary Ann Chaney, Patsy Mae Caddenhead; grandsons, Jeremy Franklin and wife Valirie, Larry Wayne Franklin, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Stormy, & Matthew; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home Chapel. Services for Homer will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Joe Scott officiating.
