Homer Darrell Jeffcoat

Homer Darrell Jeffcoat, 83, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. He was born on Monday, January 18, 1932 in Fostoria, Texas to Robert Edward Jeffcoat and Bertha Sarvis Jeffcoat, both of whom have preceded him in death. Homer was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Dutch and Rose Jeffcoat and Homer and Nannette Sarvis; other loving family members, Horace Turner and Muriel Sheffield. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Clyde LaNelle Stout Jeffcoat; two sons, Jeffrey Joe Jeffcoat and wife Nora, Robert Andrew Jeffcoat ; grandchildren, Terry JoLyn Lee and husband Jacob, and Robert Edward "Beaux" Jeffcoat; other loving family members, Jane Dillon Price, Johnny Carlos, Richard Carlos and wife Lois, along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends.

Darrell was an avid educator, holding an advance Master Degree. He worked for La Marque ISD as their Vocational Administrator for 25 years. Darrell had a passion and a love for flying. He was also a proud member of the United States Air Force, serving our country in the Korean Conflict, mostly Darrell was a loving husband, father and friend to many. He was a lifetime citizen of the Cleveland Area and will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Darrell will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church Cleveland at 11:00 am. Interment for Darrell will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery.
