Hubert Allen Ward

Hubert Allen Ward, a cherished soul and dedicated machinist, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Splendora, Texas, at the age of 83. Born on June 20, 1941, in Cleveland, Texas, Hubert spent his life exemplifying kindness and selflessness, often prioritizing the needs of others before his own.

Hubert enjoyed a fulfilling career in the manufacturing industry, where he worked at Jorgensen Steel and Aluminum until his retirement. His work ethic and craftsmanship were admired by many, and he found satisfaction in the accomplishments of his hands. Beyond his professional life, Hubert had a passion for the outdoors; he loved fishing, hunting, and engaging in various activities that allowed him to connect with nature.

A devoted animal lover, Hubert found companionship in his two beloved dogs, Peanut and Honey, who brought joy to his daily life.

He will be deeply missed by many loving family members and a host of friends, all of whom appreciated his gentle spirit and generous heart. Hubert is preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Ward, with whom he shared 23 wonderful years, his parents, Howard and Girthel Ward, his daughter, Rita Ozment, as well as his sisters, Nadyne Hood and Donna Ward, and grandson Shannon Faust.

Visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas, on April 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM. Hubert will be laid to rest at Morgan Cemetery, with the burial taking place at 2:00 PM the same day. He leaves behind a heartfelt legacy that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
