Irwin J. Burgess

Irwin J. Burgess, 89, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was born on Thursday, April 10, 1924 in Troy, New York to James W and Bertha Mae (Miller) Burgess, both of whom have preceded him in death. Irwin was also preceded in death by his, daughter, Lucille D'Allaird, son, Wallace Burgess, first wife Ollie Mae Donald, brother, James Burgess and son-in-law, Willard Bell. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 23 years Dawn Burgess; children, Della Burgess, Laurie Ann Connell and husband Ben, Sherrie Lynn Emory and husband Doug, Raymond Desnoyers, Richard Desnoyers, Scott Desnoyers and wife Anna, William Desnoyers and wife Tina, Raeann Bell; sister, Della Howard; sister-in-law, Jean Burgess; 24 grandchildren ; 16 great grandchildren ; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Irwin will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Funeral Services for Irwin will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment for Irwin will be at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Pastor Russ Tynan and Brother Tim Holder officiating.
