J. B. Brown

J. B. Brown, 86, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He was born on Sunday, October 25, 1931, in Cleveland, Texas, to B. F. Brown and Martha Ann (Slone) Brown, both of whom have preceded him in death. J. B. was also preceded in death by his late wife, W. Ruth Brown; daughter, LaNell Melton. Left to cherish his memory is his loving spouse Betty Brown; son, Harold J. (Bo) Brown and Tammy, Maylia B. Babb, Catherine D. Duncan and David Evans,
Betty's children, Ann Toler and husband Jeff; Bill Vahl and wife Annette; brothers, Allan Brown and wife Carol, Curtis Brown and wife Linda; sister, Lenora Meekins; grandchildren, Debbie Ann Fenley and husband Chris Thomas, Jessica Morrissey, Hollie Sheffield Brown and husband Kevin, Shelly Sheffield and husband Lee Tover, Karlea Thourot and husband Scott, Nikki Babb, Chris Rigsby and Dana Rowell, Melissa and Justin Evans, Lindsey Brown, Austin Morris, Adam Melton and wife Brittany, T. J. Melton, Jeff Toler, Jr. and fian'ce Christina, Ryan Toler and wife Martha, Blake Vahl and fian'ce LeeAnn; 17 great grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for J. B. will be held at Neal Funeral Home on January 2, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services for J. B. will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 1:00 pm. Interment for J. B. will immediately follow at Montaque Cemetery.
