James Clay Franks

James Clay "JC" Franks, 85, of Coldspring, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Shepherd, Texas. He was born on Saturday, May 10, 1930 in Bloomingrove, Texas to Will Tom Franks and Blanch Boyd Franks, both of whom have preceded him in death. James was also preceded in death by his brothers, Aaron Franks, and Melford Franks. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Rita Franks; sons, Jason Mark Franks and wife Rebecca Janell, Jimmy Clayton Franks and wife Pamela Gail; daughter, Terrye June Lee; sisters, Joyce Davis, Jo Akin Carol Eubank; grandchildren, Roland Clay Franks, J.C. Lee, Jamie Renee Lee; 7 Great grandchildren; 2 Great-great grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for James will be held at Shepherd United Pentecostal Church at 11140 State Hwy 150 Shepherd, Texas 77371, on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will commence at 1:00 pm at the Shepherd United Pentecostal Church. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Phil Runge, Pastor Aaron Haveron officiating.
