James Michael Kelley

James Michael "Mike" Kelley, 66, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was born on Friday, December 22, 1950. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Britton F. Kelley, Sr.; and brother, Britton "Butch" Kelley, Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Judy Lorene (Mathes) Kelley; daughters, Sandra Hintz and husband Bryan, and Amy Trlicek and husband Kenneth; mother, Bernell Kelley; brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Kelley, Sr. and wife Sheryl; grandchildren, Billy Wayne, Brittany , Skarlett and Emily; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Mike served as a firefighter for 24 years with the Houston Fire Department, retiring from Station 65. He was owner of Kelley Insurance Agency, and Kelley's K-Light Supply of Cleveland, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mike was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and rancher. He had a heart for the Lord and others, serving as a deacon and ministering throughout his life. Mike was a cheerful and generous giver supporting ministries and missions all over the world. Mike and his wife gave much of their time giving out bibles and witnessing to many people including members of their hunting and fishing groups.
Visitation for Mike will be held at Neal Funeral Home on September 17, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Mike will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Monday, September 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Interment for James will immediately follow at Garden Park Cemetery, in Conroe, Texas. Reverend Jeff Warren officiating.
