James T. Weaver, 78, of Splendora, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 3, 2014 in Humble, Texas. He was born on Sunday, October 13, 1935 in Colmesneil, Texas to Clint Talmage and Lila (Cryer) Weaver, both of whom have preceded him in death. Brother James Weaver was a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ for many years and touched many lives. His second passion was hunting, fishing and family. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years Laquita Weaver; daughters, Cathy McCowan and husband James, Tammy Arismendi and husband Robert, Karen Vance and husband Jimmy; son, Jimmy Weaver and wife Cissy; sisters, Helen Snelson and husband Lynn, Judy Runnels and husband Mike; grandchildren, Jimbo McCowan and Johnie Ubernoski, Kimberly Luna and husband Anthony, Rebecca Arismendi, Michael Arismendi, Krissy Whitt and husband Tommy, Charles Hessong and Cadie Weaver; great-grandchildren, James McCowan III, Olivia Kenton, Haley Ubernoski, Madison Whitt, Nathan Whitt, Braden and Landon Hessong; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for James will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services for James will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment for James will follow at Lufkin Whitehouse Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Melvin Holifield, Reverend Don Vann and Reverend Don Knox officiating. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
