Jimmie Lee Durdin

Jimmie Lee Durdin, 104, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 She was born on Tuesday, March 21, 1911 in Raven Hill, Texas to Will Williams and Alice (Hall) Williams, both of whom have preceded her in death. Jimmie was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Chatman, Jim Williams, Green Williams and Preston Williams; sisters, Bettie Burnett, Willie A. Eldridge and Chlorine L. Scott; grand- daughter, Avis Durdin; daughter-in-law, Iola Durdin. Left to cherish her memory is her loving children, Bobby Durdin of Vancouver, WA , daughter, Ruth Franks and husband Arthur of Vancouver,WA; sister, Patricia Royal; grandchildren, Ann Prear, Marcus Durdin, Amber Durdin and Nina Franks; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends.
Mrs. Durdin taught in the State of Texas 40 years which included 28 years in Cleveland Texas. She helped start many churches in the Cleveland area. Wake Services will be held at Neal Funeral Home, Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Mrs.Durdin will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery. Officiating, Reverend Elroy Burnett.
