Jimmy Aaron Denton, Sr. affectionaly known as "Pops", passed away at his home in Tarkington Prairie on Tuesday August 11, 2015. He was born on Saturday September 4, 1946 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Johnnie Aaron Denton and Lilas Gwendolyn (Clifton) Denton, both of whom have proceeded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his children, Michelle Denton and William Bennett; brother Carol Wayne Denton. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years Margaret Denton, children: Paul Edward Bennett, Evelyn Johnson and husband Ocey, John Earl Bennett and wife Donna, Monica McKown and husband Bobby Herren, Jimmy Aaron Denton, Jr. and wife Susan, Johnny Aaron Denton and wife Amy; brothers, Eddie Joe Denton and Delbert Lloyd Blackmon; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for "Pops" will be held Sunday August 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm, at the American Legion Chapel, Post 393, Hwy 321, Cleveland, Texas.
