Joe Wayne Johnson, 76, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 in Cleveland, Texas. He was born on Thursday, February 11, 1937 in Bosque County, Texas to Nathan Johnson and Viola (Hestilow) Johnson, both of whom have preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 46 years Patsy Johnson; children Jody Banks and husband Mark, Joel Johnson and wife Lorri, Eric Johnson and Larry Kallus, and Kevin Kirkland and wife Karen; sister, Maurice Akery and Danny Akery; grandchildren, Kris Banks and Mike Pomeroy, Brent Banks and wife Amanda, Keri Banks, Taylor Johnson, Dillon Johnson, Kevin Kirkland Jr., William Kirkland, and Jason Kirkland; great-grandchildren, Jonah Johnson and Rylan Banks; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Joe will be held at Neal Funeral Home on October 15, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral Services for Joe will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Interment for Joe will immediately follow at Pace-Stancil Memorial Resting Gardens. Chaplain Ken Faust will be officiating. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
