John Whispel Jackson, "JW" 84, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Kingwood, Texas. He was born on Saturday, August 15, 1931 in Magnolia Community, Texas. John was an employee for Gulf State Utilities for over 42 years. He began his job there as a meter reader and retired as a High Line Inspector. JW was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Jackson and Balzora Jeffcoat Jackson, 7 Brothers, and his son in law, Steve Pennington. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of almost 65 years Billie Jackson; sons, Jerry Wayne Jackson and wife Jewel, Marty Jackson and wife LaNita; daughter, Cynthia Jean Pennington; sisters, Robbie Foster, Bobbie Cheshire; 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. The family will receive friends for JW at Neal Funeral Home on December 14, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services for JW will be held at The Sanctuary (formerly known as Christian Life Center) on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
