Johnnie Marsh

Johnnie Marsh, 83, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, May 4, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1941 to Daniel Marsh and Addie Hamilton Marsh in Romayor, Texas. Johnnie was a faithful servant to the Lord. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, cooking beans, and having a few drinks. He also loved to watch his favorite team the Cowboys. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents; children, Janice McDonald and Johnnie Marsh Jr.; brothers, Daniel Marsh and Lewis Marsh; and sisters, Haddie Vonner, Jean Marsh and Maxie Marsh. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Marsh; his beloved children, Loretta Cooper and husband Jeff, Priscilla Guidry, Johnnie Bunton and husband Frank, Daniel Earl Marsh and wife Aleshia, and Judy Marsh; brother, Roosevelt Marsh and wife Stella; sisters, Annie Scott, Mary Lee Marsh, and Eastermae Marsh; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; best friends, Calvin Bush and David Rainey; and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation for Johnnie Marsh will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Neal Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will also be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Neal Funeral Home with Dr. Beverly Waller officiating.
