THOMAS
Juanita Marie Hughes Thomas earned her angel wings and was escorted into heaven to her Lord and Savior on July 20, 2014.
She was born in Houston Texas on December 22, 1939 to Charlie and Maebell Hughes.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Jackie Thomas, her parents, and her sisters Estha and her husband Bill Jamar, Lillie Constable; nephews, Steven Hughes and Tommy Jamar.
Left to cherish her memory are, her loving daughters Lynn and her husband Paul Peery of Kilgore, Texas, Cindy Lucas and her husband Tom of Splendora, Texas; Niece/daughter, Kathy and Larry Doucettte of Spring, Texas; son, David Thomas of Cleveland, Texas.
The pride and joy of her life were her grandchildren, she always had photos to show at the ready, Candler Lucas of Splendora, Texas, MacKenzie Lucas of Waco, Texas and Alecia Peery of Kilgore, Texas; great grandchildren, Ryleigh of Waco Texas and Kaylee of Kilgore, Texas. Her brother and sister George & Bonnie Hughes of Willis, Texas, George and Patty Thomas of Cookeville, TN and Paul Thomas of Mt. Juliet, TN, Herman Constable of Caldwell, Texas, Dick and Irma Jenke of Clearlake, Texas; nieces and nephews, Linda Dockery, Rick Constable, Laura Patronella, Debbie Crawford, John Hughes, Michelle Young and Brian Thomas.
Her "GIRLS", Estelle Maxwell, Gayle Baker, Kristin Moum, Theresa Brown and Michelle Worley, she loved the phone calls and the visits that kept her up to date.
She was surrounded by many others that loved her on a daily basis through phone calls, letters and beautiful cards.
She loved Serving, God, her church family at Amazing Grace Missionary Baptist, grandbabies, children in general. She loved praying for others and was a devoted prayer warrior. She enjoyed and was a faithful member to the Spring Chapter # 1105 Order of the Eastern Star.
Her diagnosis of cancer was a surprise but her fervent prayer was always to let God be glorified in all things, let him use her even to her last days, and HE DID.
In lieu of flowers it was her wish to make donations to The American Cancer Society or a Children's Charity of your choice.
Ms. Juanita's visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Her service will be at Neal Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at The Memorial Rest Gardens cemetery.
