Kimberly Annette Walker

In memory of Kimberly Annette Walker, who entered into rest on July 13, 2024, at her home in Sheperd, Texas. Annette was born on June 18, 1963, in Portsmouth, Virginia. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many.

Annette’s warmth and spirit touched the lives of those who knew her. Her kindness and generosity knew no boundaries, and she always had a smile ready to brighten someone's day. Annette faced life's challenges with grace and strength, behind a legacy of resilience and love.

She is survived by her children, Stephanie Lisby, Jimmy Lee Smart, and Ashley Smart; her brothers, James D. Lalen Jr. "Jimmy Don", and Robert Lalen "Robbie"; her aunt, Linda Howell and husband Edward; as well as a multitude of grandchildren, Derek, Hailey, Tireak, Brandon, Skylar, Jalynn, Maryann, Charles, Robert, Christian, Abigail, Jo Lynn, Danielle, Jacob, Ethan, Nevaeh, Layla, and Liya; along with many other loving family members and a host of treasured friends.

Annette was preceded in death by her father, James D. Lalen, Sr.; her mother, Jo Ann Moore Harbin; her husband, Hal Hawkins; and her brother, David Lalen. 

While she may no longer be with us in person, Annette’s spirit lives on in the hearts of all those she loved and who loved her in return.

May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished and loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
