After Postal Service work, attended technical school.
First full time job: August 1958, Radio Station WHNY in McComb, Mississippi
Radio Station WAPF also in McComb, Mississippi
Met Irene Trayal in McComb and got married April 12, 1959
First Child, Sharon born March 16, 1960
Transferred to Pine Bluff, Arkansas in June 1960, where I built a radio station and worked for 12 years as chief engineer, did air work and the last couple of years did this along with managing the station.
On December 16, 1964, our second child was born, Leon Jr.
On August 23, 1975, our third, James "Jim" was born.
In June of 1976 I went into the paving business after working part time for a time.
January, 1977 I started an asphalt and concrete paving business full time in the Houston area.
Retired in 2000 due to health problems, and Leon Soles Jr continued with the business.
I am a father, grandfather and great grandfather and still married to the first and only love of my life, Granny Irene.
