LeRoy Sonnier

LeRoy Sonnier, 86, passed away August 22, 2012 in Cleveland, Texas. LeRoy was born Sunday, May 23, 1926, in Oberlon, Louisiana to Roy and Ament Sonnier, both of whom precede him in death; also preceding him in death are his son Roy Sonnier; brothers Clyde Sonnier, Shelton Sonnier and Loyd Sonnier; sisters Callie Henderson, Bessie Sonnier and Jayne Sonnier. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years Norris Sonnier; daughters Sharon Witten and husband Rick, Janet Whitton and husband Bill; sons Michael Sonnier and Rene Sonnier; sister Pearl Taylor; granddaughter Terry Olson and husband Mike; grandsons Jesse Witten and wife Jamie, Billy Whitton III, Blake Whitton; great-grandchildren Kendall Janowski, Jesse Witten, Jasmine Witten and Kaitlin Witten; Visitation for LeRoy will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside service for LeRoy will be held at Montaque Cemetery, August 25, 2012 at 3:00 pm. Officiating is Brother Melvin Hollifield and Gary Sutton. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
