Linda Rene Brooks Tubbs, a retired computer programmer for AT&T, passed away on June 28, 2024. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family dearly. Linda was born on June 5, 1946. Throughout her life, Linda was known for her loving and kind heart, intelligence, strong-willed nature, and faithfulness in serving others. Her hobbies included computer games and cooking. Growing up Linda had an imaginary friend named Jackie Strike, who built colorful buildings.
Linda Tubbs was a loving mother and grandmother. She always looked out for her family and was very active in her grandkids lives. She always made time for each grandchild and made sure they knew they were loved and that they could always come to her if they were in trouble or needed someone to vent to. In her free time she enjoyed watching movies and listening to new and older music. She was an amazing cook and always loved making food for her family, no matter how hot the kitchen got.
Linda is survived by her sons, Kevin Brooks and Ronald Tubbs; brothers, Ronald Brooks, Charles Anthony Lee, and Danny Lee (Barbara); sisters, Leshia Himes and Barbara Nero; grandchildren, Jazmine Tubbs, Joshua Tubbs, and Terrence Brooks; and great grandchild, Chiloh Brooks.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Brooks and Morteal Callier Lee, brothers, Willie James Brooks and Darryl Lee.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation service scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will immediately follow at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM . Linda will then be laid to rest at Sandfield Cemetery in Evergreen, Texas at 12:00 PM.
