Mary Ellen James

Mary Ellen James, 95, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. She was born on Thursday, July 31, 1919 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Gatewood Burt Wilson and Mattie Elizabeth (Garner) Wilson, both of whom have preceded her in death. Mary was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Arion David James Sr.; son, Michael Wayne James; daughter Mary Elizabeth James, one brother and three sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her loving children Arion D James Jr., Norma J Sweeten and husband R.C., Betty A. Winslow, Janice N. Winslow, and Ellen Ragon; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great- great grandchildren; along with other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Mary will be held at Neal Funeral Home, on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services for Mary will be held at Neal Funeral Home on, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 10:00 am. Interment for Mary will immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, TX, Rev. David Moore officiating.
