Milton James Williams, a dedicated retired logger for J.L. Carr Logging, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, in his hometown of Cleveland, Texas, at the age of 69. Born on September 2, 1955, Milton spent his life embodying the spirit of hard work and perseverance, which was often reflected in his choice of career and his various hobbies.
Milton was known for his love of music, a passion that filled many moments of his life with joy. He was also a gifted cook, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations. In addition to cooking, Milton found joy in dancing and had a knack for working with small engines, lawn mowers, and weed eaters. He cherished riding his Schwinn bike, embracing moments of leisure and enjoyment in the simple things.
A faithful servant to the Lord, Milton was deeply respected and admired in his community. He leaves behind an enduring legacy of kindness and hard work, which will be cherished by those who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved children: Recal Solomon, Antoniyo Solomon and wife Kelli, Milton Solomon and wife Brandy, Derrick Solomon and wife Nicole, and Erick Solomon. Milton is also survived by his brother, Arnold Lee Williams and wife Brenda; his sister, Rose Simon and husband Harold; and his uncle, Charles Nickalson and wife Delma. He had the joy of being a grandfather to 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and a host of friends who will remember him fondly.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Joyce Solomon; his parents, Alfred Williams, Jr. and Lorine Williams; and his brothers, Alfred David Williams, Billy Ray Williams, and Donald Lewis Williams.
A visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home, located at 200 South Washington Avenue in Cleveland, TX, on April 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Milton will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.
