M.R. "Shorty" Reid

M. R. "Shorty" Reid, 81, of Splendora, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Humble, Texas. He was born on Sunday January 8, 1933, in Clyde, South Carolina to Marion R. and Ada Reid, both of whom have preceded him in death. Shorty was also preceded in death by his, daughter, Kathy Swarthout, brother, Willie F. Reid; sisters, Kathleen Brooks and Mary Ann Pittman; Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years Betty Reid; son, Randy Reid and wife Brenda; daughter, Janie Graham; brother-in-law, Kenneth Peacock and wife Pattie; grandchildren, Daisy and husband Derrick Wilson, Jennifer and husband Scotty Addison, Stephanie and fiance` Ryan Owens, Shane and fiance` Melissa McIntyre, Trelisa and fiance` Wayne Hogg, Kansas and husband Shane Senn, Jason Amburn, Josh Amburn, and wife Mary; great-grandchildren, Jerry Pond, Wynter, Summer, and Brandon Wilson, Kevin, Kelly, and Shelly Addison, Anthony Graham, Peyton and Megan Addison, Michael and Cheyenne Maher, Colby Hale, Ethan Graham, Haily Owens, Gavin, Emalyn and Jacob Senn, Anthony Vasquez, Brandie and Cheslie Amburn, Jordan Wilson, Koby, Cadie, Jacob, Collin, and Allison Amburn; great-great-grandchild, Evelyn Jones; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Shorty will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday January 8, 2015 from 5pm to 9pm. Funeral Services will be held at Neal Funeral Home on, Friday January 9, 2015 at 1pm. Interment will immediately follow at Splendora Cemetery. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
