Norman E. Murff "Poppy"

Norman E. "Poppy" Murff, 64, of Splendora, Texas passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014. He was born on Tuesday, September 20, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Charlie L. and Hazel L. (Solomon) Murff, both of whom have preceded him in death. Poppy was also preceded in death by his son, Norman "Bo" Murff, Jr, brothers, Charlie Murff, Jr and David Murff, sister, Wynona Lackey; Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 41 years Sylvia Murff; daughters, Angie Millermon, Meridith Lee Silcox and husband Scott; grandchildren, Charlie Joe Murff, Heather Danielle Murff, James Christopher Abram, Shyann Murff, Kaiya Hanna, Kamille Hanna, Kinsley Hanna and Jacob Blue Robinson; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cemetery, Ridge Texas at 3:30 p.m. Officiating Reverend Ralph Martin and speaker Sherrill Hill.
