He was not just a father; he was a great father—one who poured endless love into his family, especially his wife, Dianne Burke, with whom he shared 47 beautiful years of marriage. Pete is survived by his loving children, Shannon Armer and her husband James, and Lisa Owens and her husband Richard Herrington. He cherished his sisters, Mary Thornhill and Hope "Chicki" Hyde, who were sources of support and love throughout his life. His pride in his family extended to his grandchildren—Jacob Burke, Sean Austin Armer, Morgan Armer, Taylor Arnold, Jared Armer, Daniel Arnold, and Shayne Arnold—and the joy of being a great-grandfather to Harpor Fay Armer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete Burke Jr. and Marcella Smith, and his beloved son, Shawn Ryan Burke. Their memories will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of those he left behind.
