Ralph Byrd, 70, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Cleveland, Texas.
Ralph was born Thursday, January 22, 1942, in Fairhope, Alabama to Luther Byrd and Nettie Byrd, both of whom precede him in death. Ralph Byrd retired US Army SFC. He later served as a food director at several Texas hospitals and managed numerous restaurants. He relocated to the Cleveland area in 1997 where he owned and managed the Hot Biscuit and later opened and managed the Plantation restaurant.
Also preceding him in death are his siblings Buren, Helen and Louise.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 41 years Ha Thu Byrd; sons Aaron Byrd and wife Crystal, Robert Byrd and wife Carolina, Ralph Byrd; daughters Ralena Alcos and husband David, Lisa Chock and husband Tommy; brother Ray and wife Delores Byrd; sisters Brenda, Linda and husband Roy, Sylvia and husband Norman, Christine and husband Butch; grandchildren Nicolas, Sean, Savannah, Shyla, Shiloh, Ashley, Soloman and Tiffany; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
