Rene Daniel Madrid

Rene Daniel Madrid (Monkey), 60, of Shepherd, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was born on Saturday, May 16, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas to Daniel and Ruth Madrid, both of whom have preceded him in death. Rene was also preceded in death by his step-father, Jim Hayes. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Peggy Madrid; daughter, Brandy Smith and husband Wayne; brothers, James Ray Hayes, Mike Madrid, Mark Hayes and wife Pam, Scott Hayes and wife Delinda; sisters, Yvonne Daniels and Isabel Madrid Castilleja; grandchildren, Sybil Hammonds, Jarret Hammonds and Trevor Smith; along with numerous other loving family and long treasured friends. Visitation for Rene will be held at Neal Funeral Home, 200 S. Washington Ave., Cleveland, TX 77327 on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Sterling White Cemetery at 11011 FM 2100, Highlands, Texas at 1:00 p.m. Brother Joe Scott will be officiating.
