Russell Deshotels

Russell Deshotels, 54, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 in Cleveland, Texas . He was born on Monday, November 24, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas to J.J. Deshotels and Patsy Deshotels. Russell was preceded in death by his father, J.J. Deshotels; Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 15 years Annette Deshotels; his beloved children, Ashley Deshotels, JC Wright and wife Brittany, Alyssa Leathers and husband James, Joseph Deshotels, Michael Deshotels; sisters, Nancy Sosa and husband David, Elizabeth Clayton and husband Darrell, Patricia Collier and husband Jackie; grandchildren, Sara Deshotels and Keegan Leathers; mother, Patsy (Bonin) Deshotels; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Russell was a lifetime member of The Texas High School Coaches Association. He served twelve years as a coach for Cleveland High School. Russell was loved by all that knew him on and off the field, he will truly be missed. Family and friends will gather at Neal Funeral Home on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. Brother Carl Williamson will officiate; Deacon David will begin the Rosary service at 7:00 pm. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 there will be a Mass at St. Charles Church in Nederland, Texas at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Dan Malain officiating. Burial will follow in Groves, Texas at Green Lawn Cemetery.
