Stella Mae McCrorey

January 9, 1931 — March 20, 2014

Stella Mae McCrorey, 83, of Conroe passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. She was born Friday, January 09, 1931 to the late Charlie and Bertha (Burkeen) Gaskin in Oletha, Texas. Also preceded in death by her brothers Charles Edward Gaskin and Junior Lee Gaskin.
Stella enjoyed being outside and doing all it took to take care of their cattle, by maintaining fences and hauling hay. Her other loves where sewing and gardening. Stella had an undying love for all animals and children.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Cleo "Pete" McCrorey. Her brother, James Gaskin and his wife Mildred; Her sister-in-law's Rachel McCrorey, Ruby Gaskin Jones, Erma Dean Gaskin, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Alvin McCrorey, Clayton "Bubba" McCrorey, Darwyn Roach, David McCrorey, Joe Cater, Robert McCrorey and honorary pallbearer Bill Twyman.
Visitation for Stella will be held at Neal Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.; Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at McCrorey Family Cemetery on Clint Parker Road in Conroe, Texas. Reverend Robert Nichols will be officiating.
All services will be handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
