Tolbert Eugene Whitmire

Tolbert Eugene Whitmire, 81, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. He was born on Friday, January 20, 1933 in Plum Grove, Texas to Ezra Whitmire and Edith (Havins) Whitmire, both of whom have preceded him in death. Tolbert was also preceded in death by his daughter Alice Faye Whitmire-Smith; brother, Henry Thomas Whitmire; Left to cherish his memory is his loving companion of 20 years Gloria Coward; devoted children, Michael Steve Whitmire, Janet Marie Leone and husband Bill, Kenneth Eugene Whitmire and wife Chistine, Gary Lloyd Whitmire and wife Traci; brother, Lloyd Daniel Whitmire and wife Beatrice and sister, Velma Ruth Sweeten; grandchildren, Chelsea Moore, Joshua Daniel Woods, Katie Beth Woods, Nathan Alan Wilcher, Kenneth Whitmire Jr., Brandon Whitmire and Jason Wisdom, Gary Whitmire Jr., David Alan, Jeffrey Wade and Steve Anthony Smith; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Mr. Whitmire will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday February 13, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.; Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Interment for Mr. Whitmire will immediately follow services at Morgan Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas.
