Troy Alfred Vick, Sr., a dedicated Quality Control Inspector in the manufacturing industry, was born on March 7, 1934, in Groveton, Texas. He passed away on March 14, 2025, in Normangee, Texas. Troy lived a life full of love, devotion, and hard work, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Troy was known for his profound faith as a faithful servant to the LORD and was a cherished member of the New Life Pentecostal Church in North Zulch, Texas. His strong character and unwavering commitment to his beliefs were evident throughout his life. He took great pride in his family and his work, embodying the values he held dear.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Glenn Vick, Dennis Vick and wife Barbara, Jannice Nappi and husband Andrea, Julie Robinson and husband Raymond, Troy Vick, Jr., and Monica Gierisch and husband Johnny III. He was also a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren, a great-grandfather to 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandfather to 3 great-great-grandchildren, and previous wife and life long friend Miriam Vick, numerous nieces, nephews, family members and a host of friends. His legacy will continue to live on through his family, who cherish the memories they created together. 

Troy often reflected with fondness on the simple pleasures in life. He had a passion for gardening, enjoyed riding his buggy, and cherished his time spent with his cows and peacocks. His love for fried chicken and fish was well-known, as were his visits to the Golden Corral and the Senior Place in Normangee, Texas. Furthermore, he found joy in playing 42 dominoes and cherished reading, with the Farmer's Almanac being a favorite alongside his Bible.

Troy is preceded in death by his parents, John Jackson Vick and Cora Gladys Windsor, his step-father J.C. Windsor, sisters Emma Lee Beckworth and Virginia Bryce, as well as his daughter-in-laws Joy Lynn Vick and Ciara Vick.

He leaves behind cherished memories and lessons of dedication and humility, which will continue to inspire his loved ones. The Vick family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Robinson for the exemplary love and care she provided to Troy during his final days.

Visitation for Troy will take place on March 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 200 S Washington Ave, Cleveland, Texas. A funeral service will be held the following day, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Sanctuary, located at 100 East Hanson Street, Cleveland, Texas, followed by burial at 4:00 PM.

Troy Alfred Vick, Sr. lived a life marked by love, dedication, and unwavering faith, and he leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege to know him.
