Velma Cummings Lang, 67, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 in Houston, Texas.

Velma was born Friday, June 8, 1945, in Houston, Texas to L.C. and Ollie Cummings, both of whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her siblings Buddy Cummings, Judy Rodriguez and Virginia King.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 52 years Rodney T. Lang; daughter Tina Karm and husband Waylon of Montgomery, Texas; sons Tony Lang and wife Jessie of Montgomery, Texas, Rodney Lang and wife Janet of Cleveland, Texas, Ronald Lang and wife Pam of Cleveland, Texas; sisters Wilma Harris of Pasadena, Texas, Betty Karm of Houston, Texas; brother Butch Cummings of Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will include R.J. Lang, Michael Lang, Matthew Lang, Justin Karm, Paul Gray and Nicholas Duke.

Visitation for Velma will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home Chapel. Service for Velma will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Neal Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in the Brookside Cemetery at 1:00 pm. 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Officiating is Reverend Lon McVeigh. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
