Vernell "Christine" Grover

Vernell Christine Grover, 82, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. She was born on Friday, December 27, 1935, in Evergreen, Texas, to Willie Groce and Emma Custard, both of whom have preceded her in death. Christine was also preceded in death by her sister, Annie Frances Robertson. Left to cherish her memory is her loving sons, Willie Gilford and Judith Harris and Clifton and Linda Gilford; Two special sons, Ira and Debra Carr, Bernard and Sharon Cross; Daughters, Carolyn Duncan and husband Jimmy, and Jacqueline Gray; Eight grandchildren, Carlos Mitchell, Catrisha Mikle, Rashawn Mikle, Christopher Mitchell, Courtney Mitchell, Jason Duncan, Chaselynn Duncan, and Zerrick McDade; Nine great-grandchildren; Kevin Harrison Jr., Brandon Guidry, Chyra Hackett, Chyna Lewis, Alexis Mitchell, Aminah Mikle, Chloe Mitchell, Carlito Mitchell, and Christian Duncan; 1 great-great grandchild, Kaislyn Harrison; God daughter, Tolaundria Vernell Clark; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved very much. Visitation for Christine will be held at Neal Funeral Home on July 21, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services for Christine will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment for Christine will immediately follow at Sanfield Cemetery in Evergreen, Texas. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
