Vesta "Shorty" Tarrant

Vesta "Shorty" Tarrant, 76, of Splendora, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 she was born on Monday, June 24, 1940 in Centralia, Texas to Hubbard Bailey Watson and Vyma McClain Watson, both of whom have preceded her in death. Vesta was also preceded in death by her husband, Wallace "Sonny" Tarrant; son, Terry Tarrant; brother, Phillip Watson, sisters; Shirley Yates, Melba Strong, and Peggy Bonney. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Sherry Holder and husband Bud from Muskogee, OK; son, Roger Tarrant and wife Leah of Splendora, Texas; and daughter, Shelly Brickner of Roanoke, Texas; her only surviving sibling, Betty Keeshan; grandchildren, Becky, Joey, Samantha, Reagan, Reece, Crystal, Sarah, Bubba, Riley and Emma; great grandchildren, Luke, Grace, Chloe, Zachary, Lizzie, Justin, Cailee, Corey, Brooklyn, Brandon, Austin, Jaxon, Atticus and Kennedy. Numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Vesta will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, December 09, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services for Vesta will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment for Vesta will follow at the Johnson-Tullos Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
